When the Right to Try legislation passed, I took a chance and messaged Jonathan Johnson, who was the bills chief architect and biggest supporter and told him my son’s story, how medicine had saved his life and changed ours. I didn’t expect an answer- he’s a very busy guy. Not only did I get an answer, I was invited to meet with him. Jonathan listened to me, we talked about my son, his dad and why this bill was important and how it could help so many in need. He took the time and he made me feel that my story was important.

That is what I look for in a leader, in a governor representing the state I live in. Someone that would take the time to listen to me- an average mom, and talk about how change could be made. Elections are right around the corner. We currently have a governor who doesn’t seem to take the time to listen to anyone- he won’t even be bothered to engage in a debate with Mr. Johnson. Who do you want as your governor? I’m looking for someone who takes the time to be part of the community he represents, to listen to those who place their hard earned vote in his name and for someone who I believe has the greater good of Utah as a priority. Take the time to get to know him and his policies. It’s time we all vote for a governor who cares about us.

Why am I supporting Jonathan Johnson for Governor?

1. Jonathan is not collecting signatures and recognizes the outcome of the Utah Republican Party Convention as binding.

Collecting signatures is a no confidence vote in the Republican Party’s Convention nomination process. While I respect the right of individuals to disagree about the politics or the mechanics of the nomination process chosen by the party, I don’t support circumventing or disregarding the party’s established rules found in its constitution and bylaws.

2. Jonathan is running on his vision for the future.

The accomplishments of the State of Utah are the result of the collective efforts of all Utahans. If we are going places in Utah, we must focus on the road ahead.

3. Jonathan will support public education over Medicaid expansion.

Utah’s resources are limited. Twice the Utah House turned down Medicaid expansion because nearly every state adopting Medicaid expansion has seen budget overruns. If we choose to fund Medicaid expansion, public education (K-12) will likely be impacted most. Eroding potential public education funding is the last thing we need if we are managing with an eye toward Utah’s future.

4. Jonathan recognizes that air quality is a looming health crisis that jeopardizes our economic success and quality of life.

As the founding chairman of the Salt Lake Chamber Clean Air Task Force, Jonathan knows this issue and has articulated a path forward. We can’t allow Utah air quality to become our Flint, Michigan lead pipes.

5. Jonathan is willing to lead on key projects such as the Draper prison relocation, the Central Utah water project, and the Lake Powell Pipeline.

Public infrastructure is always a difficult issue. Jonathan recognizes that we must invest in the future, but that it must also make economic sense today. He is willing to support infrastructure projects with the stipulation that they be fully funded with all of the trade-offs evaluated.

Having a principled, visionary challenger is an opportunity for Utah. This is why I am supporting Jonathan for Governor.

Jonathan unprecedented success at Overstock means that he knows firsthand how to create careers, not just jobs that you wake up for and dread, living pay check to pay check. We need a leader that can use business expertise to bring and build the type of work to Utah that Utahns want. We are some of the hardest working, dedicated and intelligent individuals in this great nation and we need opportunities to help us display this.

Seeing many of my college educated friends enter the work force, the biggest fear I sense is not that we can’t find a job, it’s that we can’t find a job that is career worthy. Having family members and friends with bachelor’s degrees resulting in working for call centers and door to door sales is frankly horrifying. As I come to enter the work force myself, it leads to anxiety and doubt to what my future could look like and I don’t want it to be the same.

Utah, I encourage you not to settle. Take a look at a better option, republican candidate for Governor, Jonathan Johnson.

Jonathan Johnson is that rare man who can find practical solutions to difficult problems without compromising his principles.

I have known Jonathan for nearly 30 years in many capacities.  He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Overstock.com, one of my company’s largest tenants.  Over the past 13 years, we have had serious disagreements ranging from small things like parking spaces to large financial challenges like negotiations over Overstock’s need to vacate a multi-million dollar data center only months after taking possession of it.  In each instance, Jonathan has worked tirelessly to find solutions that will work for everyone involved. Some of these were difficult, emotionally-charged issues but Jonathan found practical solutions where everyone contributed to an acceptable outcome.   Jonathan knows how to solve problems.

I first met Jonathan on my LDS church mission to Nagoya, Japan.  He was a leader there too.  My time with him was one of the most successful and enjoyable periods of my service.   Along with his wife Courtney, he is the father of 5 boys who understand principles of integrity, excellence and the importance of choice.  Individuality is encouraged in the Johnson home and the family is proud of any number of traditions that started as a suggestion from a young boy or just seemed fun.  Creativity and intelligent decision making are far more important in that home than keeping up appearances.

Jonathan is not afraid to do the right thing,  no matter what people say about him.   As General Counsel of Overstock, he spearheaded litigation against ALL of the major investment banking firms in the face of widespread derision and criticism.  Eight years later, he has won them all and his position has been vindicated by all the same newspapers and commentators who initially doubted him.

Jonathan Johnson will lead.  He is not a politician who flip-flops his positions in an obvious attempt to be friends with everyone.  He is not someone with nothing better to do.  He is not a career politician seeking to win one more election to secure a better government pension.  This is a man who truly believes he can help.  I know him well.  He is right.  I do not know a better leader and Utah will be a better place if we elect him to be our governor.

Jonathan is a bright, conservative, successful and trusted businessman willing to courageously challenge the mediocre political status quo in Utah. He is at the top of his game, having helped build a multi-billion dollar e-commerce company providing over 1,600 high paying Utah jobs. He has the rare combination of being a skilled listener of others and their issues and then a wise consensus builder that inspires those around him as he implements his vision with enthusiasm to solve problems and to create opportunities, in the short term and long term.

Utah deserves better leadership in our Chief Executive Officer. Jonathan is refreshingly poised to lead all of Utah to greater heights, not just a select group of party insiders. JJ is not an appointed, career politician, selected merely as a safe choice placeholder, but believes strongly in public service by talented citizens willing to get seriously involved to make a major difference. I invite you to carefully study the differences between Jonathan and Gov. Herbert at http://hirejj.com/comparison/ You will readily come to see the benefits of a rising tide fueled by education, excellence, family values, hard work, honesty, integrity and success in business in building a better, even the best, Utah!

I’m very proud to announce my whole-hearted support for Jonathan Johnson as Utah’s next Governor. The public sector throughout the country is in dire need of bold and courageous leadership. Citizens throughout the country are similarly in need of genuine public servants that are rich with integrity. Jonathan and Courtney Johnson abundantly host these precious qualities that I, as a taxpayer, hold so dear. The State of Utah is very fortunate to have such an opportunity to elect a proven, principled executive as our head of state. Utah is primed for an un-yielding, firm-footed leader, with vision, and integrity. It is my strong opinion that we’ve found a great one in Jonathan Johnson. I’m eagerly looking forward to Jonathan’s leadership with confidence and great enthusiasm.

I had the pleasure of hosting Jonathan Johnson, Republican candidate for Utah Governor for a town hall meeting at my home. I was impressed when he spoke as it was obvious he has taken the time to thoroughly study and understand our state’s policies and the needs of the people. Jonathan backs up his reasonable ideas with facts, data, and logic. In order for Utah to reach its full potential as a center and haven for enterprise and business, we need to elect someone who has already succeeded in the business world. Jonathan’s leadership as a businessman and attorney helped build the $2 billion tech company, Overstock.com which employs over 2,000 Utahns. Because of this and my personal experiences with him, I feel the person who can maximize Utah’s potential is Jonathan Johnson. I encourage you to consider him for Utah’s next Governor and learn more about him at www.HireJJ.com

I had lunch today with an impressive man and candidate for Governor of the State of Utah, Jonathan Johnson. He stands on the right side of issues I consider to be important to the continued growth and success of Utah, as well as standing in the right place on that inspired document, the Constitution of the United States of America. I find him to be a true conservative and that’s important to me. When I look at Mike Lee, Chris Stewart, and, now, Jonathan Johnson, I have great hope for the future of Utah and the United States.

I am absolutely thrilled that we have such a successful business man and true conservative running for governor. I have no doubt that Jonathan Johnson will steer us more to the path of freedom, growth and free market solutions than we have seen from our current governor. He also has a real understanding of how business works, how budgets work, the benefits of localized control of education and lands and so much more. I truly believe that he will take Utah to a whole new level of prosperity. Please join me in supporting Jonathan Johnson for governor.

How do you know Jonathan?
I’ve worked with Jonathan for 9+ years. For most of that time, I reported directly to Jonathan.

How has your experience been interacting with Jonathan?
Jonathan is personable and administers well any job or task he has in front of him. He is goal-focused and patient and effective in achieving what he sets out to accomplish. He takes notice of all team members and encourages and provides need example in almost all he does. He is also a good friend and shows interest in others. He has a moral center that is the driving force in his work and knows how to meet and resolve powerful conflicts through creative solutions.

Can you share an experience where you witnessed Jonathan’s leadership skills?
Jonathan is well known for leading the clean air initiative at Overstock.com, where we work, and where he is now chairman of the board. For many years he organized and participated in a ride-to-work day and company clean air challenge participation. He has championed many hundreds of projects like that over the years and they are highly successful. Additionally, I have seen him in many meetings of associations where there are numerous leaders of other companies or persons of high community standing present and it is obvious that many of those present look to Jonathan for either formal or informal leadership because they trust his judgment, abilities and experience.

Can you share an experience where you witnessed Jonathan’s problem-solving skills?
Many of my experiences with Jonathan’s problem solving (again numbering in the hundreds) involve matters that were confidential business concerns which I can’t fully discuss here, but Jonathan has the rare talent to arrive quickly at the center of an issue, to listen to other stakeholders or receive counsel and then craft a solution and the next steps to execution. I remember many times bringing to his desk some matter that seemed almost overwhelming in terms of its complexity and leaving his office after 15 minutes wondering why I had thought it was so difficult.

Can you share an experience where you witnessed Jonathan’s ethical behavior?
I remember once instance wherein the company had two options to settle on an amount of money to be paid under a contract. We had two options because the contract was poorly drafted. Under option 1, the company could legally pay less than was fair for the contract performance. The other option was to pay a higher amount, but was more fair. The difference in payment was noticeable. I was the chief legal officer. I presented both options to Jonathan, and didn’t give my opinion on what should be the outcome; I left the choice up to him. He could see that both options were legally justified but significantly different in the pay amount. He was quiet for a moment then selected the option that I thought was more fair, but more money. It was a short meeting. I went back to my office. After about five minutes the phone rang, and it was Jonathan. He asked me if I thought that the choice he made was the right one under the circumstances, despite what we might be able to do legally. I told him that I thought it was the “fair” thing to do. He said, “Then we ought to do what’s fair, right?” “Right,” I said. It has been many years, but I clearly remember that call.

What do you think Jonathan will bring to the table as Utah’s next governor?
Jonathan has a competent and highly trained executive mind, governed by a moral compass that points true north. He can readily tackle deeply complex problems that others would find nearly unsolvable and all the while he listens to his team (and even the opposition) to move a matter forward. Jonathan is all about achievement and goals–but not at all costs–and in the his cost considerations, he takes into account the feelings of others and their views. He listens. His judgment is sound. Jonathan is made for jobs like this. He will be one of the best governors we have ever had.

I have been friends with Jonathan Johnson since we started law school together over 25 years ago.  I know Jonathan to be a business leader who combines well grounded conservative practicality with insightful business vision. Jonathan has successfully provided strong executive leadership to some of Utah’s best businesses while consistently applying stalwart conservative principles.
Jonathan is surrounded by his outstanding family and constantly supported by his wife, Courtney.  I know that Jonathan would provide the kind of executive business experience and leadership that will help Utah continue to grow now and in the years to come.

I want a governor who will honor what we Utahns have passed as law in Utah, boldly look the Supreme Court in the eye, and unflinchingly state:

“What part of the 10th Amendment do you not understand?!”

Jonathan Johnson totally understands “the Rules” — our U.S. Constitution — and will protect and defend Utah’s state and individual rights according to the Supreme Law of the land.

I have known Jonathan for more than 25 years and have remained friends with him ever since we met in our first year of law school.  He is wise beyond his years, honest, and a practical problem solver—not an ideologue.  He is a successful businessman, and now is turning his attention to solving public problems in Utah.  He does so, not because of personal ambition, but out of love for this state and its people.  He is not a career politician.  He will return to private life after one or two terms as governor.  I support Jonathan Johnson for governor of Utah and urge you to join me in supporting him.

Stephen P. Tryon
LTC, U.S. Army (retired)
Former Senior VP of Human Resources, International Business and Logistics, Overstock.com

I am proud to offer my endorsement of Jonathan Johnson III. Jonathan will make a terrific governor for Utah. He is a career citizen — a person of real substance who has earned his success in law and in business through hard work and character. I have participated with Jonathan in weighty, contentious deliberations with hundreds of millions of dollars in the balance. He is a person of integrity whose states his views with candor and reason, regardless of the ebb and flow of popular opinion. I trust him, and I will vote for him.

I support Jonathan Johnson in his bid for Governor. I support Jonathan because he shares my position on critical issues that affect my life and your life. He shares my values. Our current governor supports common core educational standards, expanding Obamacare and encourages dependence on the federal government. I don’t support any of those and neither does Jonathan Johnson.

I’m supporting Jonathan for Governor. His proven business experience will take Utah’s economy to the next level.

Back in 2008, when the American economy was falling apart like nobody believed it ever could, Jonathan and the rest of the Overstock.com management got the employees together and made three announcements:  (1) There would be no raises that year.  (2) There would be no bonuses that year.  (3)  There would be no layoffs that year.

My name is Phoenix Roberts and I’m supporting Jonathan Johnson as Utah’s next governor — not because I was one of the people who didn’t lose his job in 2008, but because Jonathan had the foresight to plan for the best of times and the worst of times.  America faces many challenges; Utah needs a leader with proven ability to meet whatever challenges arise.

Jonathan’s views on cleaner fuels and disruptive technologies are both innovative and pragmatic. When I personally met him and shook his hand, he was sincere and genuine.   I look forward to Jonathan bring fiscal responsibility, a holistic approach to Utahn politics (instead of SLC centric policies), honesty and integrity, and economic stimulus to the Governor’s office.

We both grew up in Davis County. Mike earned his MBA and works for the payroll company ADP. Jen went to Dental School at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and works part-time as a dentist and full-time as a mom. We have five beautiful boys. We are also both very involved in politics and in the community. We strongly endorse Jonathon Johnson for governor. One of the reasons is that he clearly understands the proper role of the states and the federal government. The federal government has usurped power from the states. Jonathan would lead in the effort to stand up for state’s rights and help restore the proper balance of federalism. He also understands that people solve problems, not government. The continual expansion of government does not lead to prosperity. He has a myriad of experience in the actual business world and understand the free market and the real way to grow the economy. We stand with Jonathon!
Mr. Mike Brown and Dr. Jennifer Brown

I have known Jonathan for seven years, both personally and professionally. I am a strong supporter of Jonathan winning the race for Governor of the great state of Utah.

I worked with Jonathan for over four years at Overstock.com. Jonathan as the President while I was the CFO. I found Jonathan to be a smart and insightful leader who listens well, builds people, builds teams, and builds organizations. Having seen Jonathan operate first hand, I know he will make a great Governor and take the state of Utah to a new level.

I am excited and proud to be a Jonathan supporter.

Ps We need to hire Jonathan for this job.

Johnathan Johnson is giving the voters an opportunity to elect a man
into office who has the ability to transfer his success in the
business realm to the entire state of Utah. I believe that as Johnson
integrates his conservative values and views into the governing of the
state of Utah, it has the potential to grow and improve immensely.
Johnathan Johnson sticks by these conservative values, despite that
some may be unpopular, because he wants to help the people of Utah,
not because he is looking to achieve a personal agenda.

I have known Jonathan Johnson for close to ten years. I have seen him take up many personal causes at his own diligence just because he truly believed it was the right thing to do. All of which were causes to help other people, to help or protect them or the community, just because he could. This is truly his passion and motivation in life.

The State School Board is as bought in to Common Core as Governor Herbert is. They should NOT be writing standards. For years teachers have written the standards for Utah schools. They know better than anyone else what the children know and what they need to know to move on. Vote Jonathan Johnson for Utah’s next Governor.

I have known Jonathan for 25 years. He is visionary, wise and service-oriented. Utah is fortunate to have such a proven, quality candidate.
Even better is his wife Courtney, who would make a fabulous First Lady of Utah.

It is time that we elected a conservative Governor with conservative principles and is not a “sell-out” to become the Chair of the Governors association. I would ask that you listen closely to Jonathan Johnson and you will find that he is the kind of leader we need to stand strong for the great citizens of Utah and not just the elite few!

I have known Jonathan for over 25 years. I first met Jonathan in law school, where we spent three years studying and learning together. Jonathan is bright and articulate, but most importantly, he is just a great guy. He is true to his word and a man of integrity. He is compassionate and he is passionate about the great state of Utah and leading us in making Utah an even better place to live and raise our families. I am voting to hire JJ for governor.

I believe that Jonathan will be a great Governor of the state of Utah because he is well qualified and has many attributes and one of them that I truly appreciate is that he recognizes the enrichment and value our diverse communities bring to our communities. I see him as a great leader who acknowledges that diversity involves continuous engagement and inclusion from people of diverse backgrounds to better serve ALL the residents of this great state.

I have been watching Jonathan Johnson’s campaign for Governor of Utah for a few months now, liking what I saw in print about his stands of various issues that are important to me. I attended a town hall meeting in Kaysville, UT, where Johnson took questions from the audience and answered every single one of them in detail, using straight-forward language with NO politispeak. I was very impressed with his point of view on critical issues and the fact that he spoke his mind clearly and did not dodge a single question that he was asked. In the political world we live in today, where politicians are eminently adept at NOT answering questions, but routinely dodge questions and give answers that are designed to distract and deflect voters from the original question that was asked it was ABSOLUTELY REFRESHING to listen to a man give direct answers to direct questions.

As an example, I asked him one question during a discussion about Common Core. I asked this question: “Do you believe that parents have the right to opt-out their children from . . . no wait a second, lets not use the term “opt-out” because it implies that the State has a right to control students . . . Do you believe that parents have a right to refuse testing of their children, or do believe that there are some tests that the State has the right to force students to take, regardless of the wishes of their parents?”
I expected a politispeak answer, dodging the question and then deflecting the subject away from the actual question. Instead I received an instantaneous, direct answer to my question. He said, “Who is in charge of children’s education? Parents are in charge of their children’s education. Yes, we join together as a society to educate our children together in schools, and we all pay for those schools, whether or not we have children in them, but we do that for convenience, not to take away the parents responsibility to educate their children. Parents have the right to refuse testing of their children.”

I replied, “That is what I wanted to hear.” I said that because he gave me the correct answer that I wanted to hear, but also because he did not waffle on it for a single second. He didn’t tell me about all the benefits that professional testing companies think that our education system gets from testing our children, he stated in no uncertain terms that Parents are in charge of their children and the State has no right to force them to take tests if their parents object to them. I believe that my question strikes at the core of what is wrong with Common Core and where it is headed . . toward the elimination of parents rights to determine what is best for their children. Jonathan Johnson gave me the answer, in no uncertain terms, that tells me that he completely understands what is at stake if we continue to allow Common Core and the FedEd Nazis to gain more and more power over our schools and our children.

Unlike our current Governor, Herbert, Johnson gets it. He will fight for our children’s autonomy from government, instead of what Herbert is doing, championing the very system that is gaining more and more control over their minds and their morals . . . destroying them on both fronts.

I urge you to support Jonathan Johnson for Governor of the State of Utah. After what I saw and heard, on a whole host of issues, not just Common Core, he has my complete support. Jonathan Johnson is what this state needs. I am convinced that he will stand against the every growing tyranny of government at the State and national levels.

Jonathan Johnson is an awesome man! I think he would do very well as Utah’s next Governor. He home taught my family growing up, was one of my leaders as a youth in my church. He is an individual that can truly facilitate change for the better!

As a father of three, the oldest being six and in Kindergarten, we are experiencing how tough the Common Core standards are on families and the child that is expected to understand the work. We need someone who can come in and make the education fit the child, not make the child fit the education. I believe Jonathan Johnson is that man!

Karen and I had the opportunity to host Jonathan and Courtney in our home for a fireside chat. A number of friends who are very concerned about the direction our State is headed were present. Upon our first meeting with Jonathan we found him to be well versed in the areas of our concern. Namely business growth, State government expenditures, limiting taxes, controlling the budget to prevent waste and bringing the control of education back to the parents. He is a leader. We believe he would make an excellent Governor for the Great State of Utah.

I met Jonathan while serving with him as members of the Board of Governors for the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce. From the day I met Jonathan I was impressed by his leadership, but what is more important is the fact that my admiration and respect increased with time while seeing him interact with other board members, having the opportunity to admire his integrity, his capability to attentively listen every single opinion respecting differences and having flexibility to consider that other ideas could be better than his own. From my personal experience seeing him take leadership over some projects at the Chamber, he is a visionary man who sees into the future, he thinks strategically and is capable to create a plan and bring it into action by focusing on what needs to be done all while keeping himself accountable.

Jonathan applies his leadership skills to every project he was involved using passion, dedication, and confidence in who he was and what he and his team could achieve.

Jonathan understands the needs of our state and has the business and legal background to defend Utah’s interest and to resolve issues with federal government in an appropriate manner. He also understands the challenges we face in the area of education. As a successful business man Jonathan brings the necessary experience to take Utah to the next level in economic development.  In terms of budgeting he knows how to make the most of every penny. He has not been a career politician so he brings a fresh business mind to add to his love and passion for the state of Utah. I’m honored to support his candidacy as the next Governor for our state.

I have high hopes for Utah after meeting Jonathan Johnson and will be putting my support toward him!

I don’t support Jonathan because I agree with everything he stands for. I support him because I believe that he will do what is right and not what is beneficial to his political career. I think he is an excellent leader who genuinely cares about the people of Utah. I trust him to do what is best.

Jonathan Johnson is the embodiment of what Utah represents:

-western self reliance and individualism,
-Constitutionally limited government,
-solutions that serve and rely on our families and local communities, not Washington DC or big-government politicians within our own state.

Establishment Republicans in Utah are a disappointment and taking us in the wrong direction and Utah needs a change. Jonathan is a refreshing and exciting leader with a proven track record and rock solid western values. He gives us Utahans the opportunity to live our lives with more individual and community freedom in keeping with our Founding principals and western values. He is our best choice for effective stewardship of Utah as Chief Executive.

Thursday night I met Jonathan Johnson, Republican candidate for Utah Governor in 2016. He listens attentively, is genuinely interested, bright, not rushed and focused. In contrast to Herbert, he is against Common Core and Medicaid Expansion, recognizing that as Utah’s Obamacare Co-Op fails, that expanding the number of Utahns on government assistance and welfare through Obamacare incentivized Medicaid Expansion would bankrupt Utah taxpayers. He is pro small business and growth. He is a true conservative.

A neighbor contrasted Jonathan’s refreshing attentiveness for listening to people with Herbert’s stale, wishy-washy ambivalence. Exactly true, I thought. We need to vote for a conservative in 2016, Jonathan Johnson for Governor.

Jonathan is very down to earth and easy to talk to. After meeting him at a town hall I found that he knows what he is talking about. I really think that the he will take Utah in the right direction.

One of the issues that hits close to home is education. Our new daughter will be attending school in only 3 years. The closer it gets the more I realize that our school system is broken and common core is not the answer to giving students a better education. Jonathan believes firmly that having a program (Common Core) that is funded by the federal government is not the answer. He wants to bring the decisions closer to home so that the schools can decide what is best for their students. Although common core allows for the state to choose what standards are adopted it would be better if each and every school decided what standards should be met.

Another reason I support JJ is that he wants to decrease Utah’s dependence on Federal money. This would make us more independent as a state financially and we would not be bound by any strings that are attached to the money given by the federal government. I think Jonathan would help change Utah for the better and I hope to see him win the race for Governor.

It was nice to hear Jonathan taking such a passionate stance on education
and helping each and every student obtain the proper guidance when it comes
to life-after-high school. Whether this be more education, a trade school
or right into the work force, Jonathan’s ideas dealing with increased
interaction between students and guidance counselors is what we need to have
happen so when a child leaves high school, they leave with a detailed plan
and goals set.”

John and I had the honor of spending time with whom we hope is our future governor this evening. Jonathan Johnson is ready to lead our state in a better direction. I encourage those of you with ideas/concerns about our state to contact him personally. He is open to dialogue and will take time to listen to you individually or is available to meet with you in a larger group setting. #HireJJ

I believe in Jonathan Johnson’s vision for Utah, and I believe in Jonathan Johnson the candidate for governor. This is the manner of candidate we have been waiting for, this is the man for our time, and I believe this will be the governor who gives our generation the voice we have been waiting for.

I strongly agree with Jonathan on our water issues and in the need for the Federal Government to obey the Constitution and give Utah back our lands. The mismanagement of Utah Federal lands has done massive amounts of damage to not only Utah lands, but to the Utah watershed. Utah and the rest of the nation can no longer afford the economical and environmental damage unelected and unaccountable federal bureaucrats do to our public lands.

I’ve known JJ for over 20 years beginning in law school, and we later worked together. He’ll make a great Governor. He’s clearly intelligent, successful, driven, and he’s shown his leadership in running a large, successful, publicly traded company. Being a politician was not supposed to be a career choice but instead a call to service. It’s time for Utah to have a non-politician to run the state. Utah’s Governor needs the knowledge, skills, abilities, problem solving skills and accountability that a successful businessman like JJ has.
